Florida Museum of Cursed Artifacts - Assistant Scenic and Set Designer
I am proud to have been given the opportunity to be the assistant Scenic and Set Designer for the Florida Museum of Cursed Artifacts, a haunted attraction that is being put on by us in the Live Entertainment Design and Production students here at Valencia College.
Located in the Black Box Theatre, this experience will bring small groups lead by our curator through exhibitions that showcase Florida's weird and creepy lore... and things go wrong quick. Brave the Florida Museum of Cursed Artifacts...if you dare!

Set and Scenic Treatments + Final Looks
I was in charge of the creation of the crypt for our Swamp Room. after building the wooden frame I had lined the outside of it with dense foam. Using a hot knife, box cutter, and various scraping tools to start carving to achieve the aged stone look for the crypt. Various paint techniques were used to complete the final look. Once completed was moved into the swamp room.
I worked with our Master Carpenter and Scenic Charge Artist on the build and scenic of the Devil's Chair. A Replica of the one that lives in Cassadaga, FL, We built the standard shapes and stapled wood "bricks" in a standard brick pattern to completed the build. We mortared the chair and starting working on the paint treatment for the chair. Once completed it was moved into the paranormal room.
"FL Museum of Cursed Artifacts" Sign - Design created by me. Painted using Acrylic and Broadway paints on Luan.

I worked on the repainting these foam swords to designated color. Gave them a base coat of black, then added a silver metallic coat to finish it off. added scuff marks and scratches with a box cutter. Added brown sienna and raw umber to the hilt to complete the swords.
